Position -Structural Design Engineer ( Fixed Term Contract)

Location: Thane ( Diva /Dativali )

Experience: 3 to 7 Years

Industry: Metro / Railway /Commercial & Residential Buildings

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Engineer with strong expertise in Metro /commercial and residential building projects. The candidate should be proficient in reinforced concrete and steel structure design, well-versed with Indian Standards, and capable of handling projects from concept to construction support.

Key Responsibilities

• Structural analysis and design of commercial and residential buildings including high-rise structures
• Design of RCC and steel structures as per applicable Indian Codes (IS Codes)
• Preparation and review of:
• Structural design calculations
• General arrangement drawings and detailed structural drawings
• Reinforcement detailing and steel connection concepts
• Coordination with architects, MEP consultants, and other disciplines
• Review of drawings and designs prepared by junior engineers
• Provide value engineering solutions for cost-effective and safe designs
• Address design-related queries from site and provide timely clarifications
• Participate in design review meetings, client interactions, and statutory approvals
• Ensure compliance with local bye-laws, seismic requirements, and safety standards
• Support during construction stage including site visits when required

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of RCC and steel structure design
• Hands-on experience with commercial and residential building projects
• Proficient in Indian Standards, including but not limited to:
• IS 456 Plain & Reinforced Concrete
• IS 800 Steel Structures
• IS 875 (Part 15) Loads
• IS 1893 Seismic Design
• IS 13920 Ductile Detailing
• Experience with structural analysis and design software such as:
• ETABS / STAAD / SAFE / SAP2000 (any or combination)
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit Structure is an advantage

Qualifications

• B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 3 to 7 years of relevant structural design experience
• Experience working with consultants or design offices handling large projects preferred

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to Metro / Railway /high-rise buildings, mixed-use developments
• Experience interacting with clients and approval authorities
• Familiarity with Mumbai development regulations is a plus
