Job Description
Position: Jr. Engineer Electrical
Department: Facility Management
Role Type: Operations / Vendor Escort & Monitoring
Qualification & Skill Set:
- B.E. / B.Tech / Diploma (Electrical / Mechanical / Electronics or relevant discipline)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in equipment maintenance / facility operations
- Good understanding of site safety practices, work permits, and vendor management
- Basic knowledge of PPE, LOTO, signage, and emergency protocols
- Good communication and coordination skills
Role Objective:
The Jr. Engineer is responsible for escorting, monitoring, and facilitating the entry, work execution, and exit of external vendors and service providers within the office premises.
The primary objective of this role is to ensure safety, security, and compliance during Repair & Maintenance (R&M) activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify vendor staff documents, ID cards, and material gate passes before entry.
- Issue and track work permits for all ongoing maintenance and project activities.
- Escort vendors at all times while they are inside the office premises.
- Ensure vendors strictly follow site safety protocols, including:
- PPE usage
- Safety signages
- LOTO (Lockout/Tagout) procedures
- Monitor work activities and immediately report:
- Unsafe practices
- Potential hazards
- Near-miss incidents to the FM team.
- Obtain necessary work completion and safety sign-offs from the FM team.
- Ensure no unauthorized handling, photography, or removal of assets.
- Follow and enforce site-specific emergency communication protocols.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with vendor staff and internal teams.
