Job Title : AWS data engineer
Experience : 10-15 Years
Location: Hyderabad/Bangalore
Mode of work : Work from Office
Mode of Interview : Virtual
Core Responsibilities
- Pipeline Development: Build, test, and deploy complex ETL/ELT pipelines for both batch and real-time data processing.
- Data Architecture: Design and maintain modern data lake and data warehouse architectures (Star/Snowflake schema, dimensional modeling).
- Workflow Orchestration: Schedule and manage data workflows using orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, MWAA, or AWS Step Functions.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize query performance, troubleshoot production data issues, and ensure system scalability.
Required Technical Skills
- Programming & Scripting: Strong hands-on proficiency in Python and PySpark.
- Database & Warehousing: Deep expertise in writing optimized SQL, and working with AWS Redshift, Hive, or PostgreSQL.
- AWS Core Services: Experience with S3, Glue, Lambda, EMR, and Athena.
- Big Data Technologies: Familiarity with distributed processing frameworks (Apache Spark, Hadoop ecosystem).
Preferred/Good-to-Have Skills
- Cloud Infrastructure: Exposure to Terraform, CloudFormation, or Docker.
- Other Cloud Warehouses: Experience with Snowflake or Google BigQuery.
- NoSQL Databases: Knowledge of DynamoDB or MongoDB.
- Certifications: AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are highly valued
