Job Description
- Staffing: Interview, hire, and train new maintenance technicians and mechanics.
- Delegation: Plan and issue daily or weekly shift schedules, assigning tasks based on workload demands.
- Performance: Monitor work in progress, evaluate team performance, and assist with complex repairs .
- Inspections: Conduct routine facility audits and site inspections to identify potential issues before they cause costly breakdowns.
- Planning: Develop and manage a robust Preventative Maintenance Plan to extend the lifespan of building systems like HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate logs for work orders, equipment repairs, and overall facility condition
- Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels of tools, materials, and equipment, ordering replacements when necessary
A maintenance supervisor directs facility upkeep and repair operations. Their primary responsibilities include managing the daily maintenance team, developing preventative maintenance schedules, enforcing safety and compliance regulations, controlling departmental budgets, and coordinating with external vendors to keep equipment and buildings fully operational
