 Senior Consultant/Team Lead-HCM Functional

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Oracle Cloud HCM Functional Consultant to support global Oracle HCM transformation programs. This role is primarily functional, requiring deep understanding of HR processes and Oracle Cloud HCM capabilities across Core HR, Talent Management, and Learning modules. The candidate will work from an Hyderabad based office and closely collaborate with offshore teams, onshore USA stakeholders, and NSA teams to drive business-aligned HCM solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a functional SME for Oracle Cloud HCM modules: Core HR, Talent Management, and Learning.
  • Partner with HR business stakeholders (including USA and NSA teams) to understand current-state processes, pain points, and future-state requirements.
  • Lead requirement gathering workshops, business process discussions, and fit-gap analysis sessions.
  • Translate business requirements into functional designs, solution configurations, and user stories.
  • Design and recommend best-practice HR processes aligned with Oracle Cloud HCM capabilities.
  • Core HR Functional Responsibilities:
  • Define enterprise structures (legal entities, business units, departments, locations).
  • Configure workforce structures, person management, employment models, and global HR processes.
  • Support global HR processes such as hiring, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
  • Ensure compliance with country-specific HR policies and global governance models.
  • Talent Management (TM):
  • Configure and support performance management, goal management, and talent review processes.
  • Enable career development frameworks, succession planning, and competency models.
  • Advise on aligning talent processes with organizational strategy and workforce planning.
  • Learning Module:
  • Design and configure learning strategies including courses, learning paths, certifications, and compliance training.
  • Support learning administration, learner experience, and reporting.
  • Partner with business teams to align learning initiatives with talent development goals.
  • Cross-Functional Responsibilities:
  • Drive fit-gap analysis and propose functional solutions or workarounds where required.
  • Support data migration strategy from a functional perspective (data mapping, validation, cleansing).
  • Collaborate with technical teams on integrations while providing functional context.
  • Participate in testing cycles (SIT/UAT), ensuring business scenarios are fully validated.
  • Lead or support user training, documentation, and change management activities.
  • Provide post-go-live functional support and continuous improvement recommendations.

Essential Skills

Job

  • Strong functional expertise in Oracle Cloud HCM (Core HR, Talent Management, Learning).
  • Must have done at least 2 Oracle HCM Cloud implementation support to understand the end to end module implementation experience.
  • Deep understanding of global HR processes and employee lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience in HCM transformation or large-scale implementation projects.
  • Experience working with global stakeholders, especially USA-based teams.
  • Ability to bridge business and system requirements effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead functional discussions and workshops.
  • Should have good functional (process) knowledge in the area(s) of work.

  • Oracle Cloud HCM Functional Certifications.
  • Experience with global HR operating models and shared services.
  • Exposure to compliance, audit, and HR governance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools like OTBI (Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence).
  • Should possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Should have positive attitude.
  • Ability to learn new technologies.
