Medical Coding Specialist @ Billedright Healthcare

Job Description

Job Summary

We are hiring skilled Medical Coders with hands-on experience in Cardiology, Pain Management, and Surgery coding. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding guidelines with proven accuracy in specialty-based coding.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign accurate CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for Cardiology / Pain Management / Surgical cases
• Review medical records, operative notes, and physician documentation
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and payer regulations
• Maintain high productivity and quality standards
• Identify documentation gaps and coordinate with QA/Team leads
• Work on denial analysis related to coding when required

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Terminology
• Expertise in specialty coding (Cardiology / Pain / Surgery)
• Familiarity with modifier usage, NCCI edits, LCD/NCD guidelines
• Good understanding of US healthcare and revenue cycle
• Ability to meet accuracy and TAT targets.

Eligibility

• Certified coder preferred: CPC / CCS / COC
• Minimum 4 year of relevant specialty coding experience
• Good communication and analytical skills
