Databricks Engineer @ Multinational Company

Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for large-scale structured and unstructured data.
• Develop data transformation logic using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python.
• Implement data ingestion frameworks from multiple source systems into Azure Data Lake.
• Work with business and analytics teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Optimize Databricks jobs for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Create reusable frameworks, monitoring processes, and automation scripts.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile delivery environments.

Required Skills

• 69 years of experience in Data Engineering and Cloud Data Platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience in Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Expertise in PySpark, Spark SQL, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with Azure Data Lake, Blob Storage, Synapse, and Delta Lake.
• Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and data warehousing.
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization of Spark workloads.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in Azure.
• Good understanding of data modeling and pipeline orchestration.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Kafka, streaming, or real-time data processing.
• Exposure to Terraform, Airflow, or Azure DevOps.
• Certifications in Azure or Databricks will be an added advantag
