We are hiring for a Payment Posting Executive for the Chennai Location.

Roles & Responsibilities

Payment Posting Duties:

• EOB/ERA Processing: Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Electronic Remittance Advice (ERAs) from insurance companies.
• Payment Application: Accurately post insurance payments, patient deductibles, copayments, and contractual write-offs to individual patient accounts.
• Denial Recording: Identify and log denied or partially paid claims, transferring remaining balances to the Accounts Receivable (AR) or denial management team for appeal.

Preferred candidates:

• Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with medical billing and EHR software (e.g., Epic, NextGen, AMD, IDX, Allscript).
• Medical Coding Knowledge: Familiarity with standard medical coding systems.
• Analytical Abilities: High mathematical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to detect variances in large datasets.
• Industry Understanding: Solid grasp of the US Healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) process, including Medicare/Medicaid and private payer guidelines.
• Certifications: While not always mandatory, credentials such as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) from the AAPC or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
