Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimize security technologies and controls across the organization's infrastructure, cloud environments, networks, endpoints, and applications. The ideal candidate will play a key role in strengthening the organization's security posture by deploying security solutions, automating security processes, responding to security threats, and ensuring compliance with security standards and best practices.
The candidate should possess strong technical expertise in security architecture, network security, endpoint protection, cloud security, vulnerability management, and security automation.
Key Responsibilities
Security Engineering & Implementation
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise security solutions and controls.
- Deploy and manage security technologies including firewalls, IDS/IPS, EDR/XDR, SIEM, DLP, email security, and web security solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend security tools, technologies, and enhancements.
- Support secure infrastructure design and implementation across on-premises and cloud environments.
Security Operations Support
- Collaborate with SOC and Incident Response teams to investigate and remediate security incidents.
- Develop and optimize detection use cases, security monitoring rules, and automated response workflows.
- Assist in threat hunting and proactive security monitoring activities.
- Support incident containment and remediation efforts.
Cloud Security
- Implement and maintain security controls within AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments.
- Secure cloud workloads, storage, networking, and identity management configurations.
- Monitor cloud security posture and remediate identified risks and misconfigurations.
- Support cloud security architecture reviews and risk assessments.
Vulnerability & Risk Management
- Support vulnerability management programs through remediation planning and security hardening.
- Conduct security assessments and configuration reviews of systems and applications.
- Implement security baselines and secure configuration standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to address identified vulnerabilities and security gaps.
Security Automation & Engineering
- Develop and maintain security automation scripts, integrations, and workflows.
- Improve operational efficiency through SOAR and security orchestration initiatives.
- Automate repetitive security tasks using scripting and APIs.
- Integrate security controls into DevOps and CI/CD pipelines where applicable.
Governance, Compliance & Documentation
- Support compliance initiatives related to ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain technical security documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Participate in audits and security assessments.
- Ensure adherence to security policies, standards, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 36 years of experience in Security Engineering, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Security, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of enterprise security technologies and architectures.
- Experience implementing and supporting security controls across infrastructure, cloud, and application environments.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and industry best practices.
Technical Skills

Experience with one or more of the following:
- SIEM Platforms (Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, QRadar)
- EDR/XDR Solutions (CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, SentinelOne)
- Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Check Point)
- IDS/IPS Technologies
- Email Security Solutions
- Data Loss Prevention (DLP)
- Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
- Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR)
Cloud Security
Hands-on experience with:
- AWS Security Services
- Microsoft Azure Security
- Google Cloud Platform Security
- Cloud Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Container and Kubernetes Security
Infrastructure & Networking
- TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Routing and Switching
- Windows and Linux Administration
- Active Directory and Identity Management
- Network Segmentation and Zero Trust Concepts
Automation & Scripting
Experience with:
- Python
- PowerShell
- Bash
- REST APIs
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
Security Frameworks
- NIST Cybersecurity Framework
- CIS Controls
- ISO 27001
- MITRE ATT&CK
- Zero Trust Architecture
Preferred Skills
- Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD security integration.
- Knowledge of container security and Kubernetes security.
- Familiarity with threat intelligence integration and detection engineering.
- Experience supporting SOC operations and incident response activities.
- Exposure to penetration testing findings remediation and security architecture reviews.
- Understanding of secure software development practices.
