Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities :
- Utilize expertise in evaluation of design basis, construction methodologies, prediction of risk areas related to complex Engineering & Construction projects
- To work with clients both in the proposal and project construction phase for delivering specialized Risk Engineering Services
- Interpretation of the available geological data, engineering judgement in identifying design errors and advisories related to proper construction route.
- Evaluation in decision making of proper selection of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) and similar critical construction plant and machinery (CPM) including prediction of the right geological conditions that are likely to be encountered underground in supporting right selection of CPMs.
- Support client in providing construction advisory services, identifying exposures with loss potential, analysis of cause/effect of major losses, evaluating various natural catastrophe exposures
- Carry out Risk Assessments and Audit reviews to monitor compliance with quality control systems procedures, safety codes, and other regulations and generate /provide quality reports to internal & external stakeholders
- Support client in effective Implementation of Construction Risk Safety Management related functions
- Analyzing project schedules including delay and impact assessment of Advanced Loss of Profit covers (ALOP), identifying maximum credible scenarios and estimating probable maximum loss (PML)
- Innovation and development of New Risk Management VAS Solutions related to Engineering & Construction portfolio and Lead & build expertise within team in this area
Job Requirements :
- BE/B. Tech Civil Engineering and ME with specialization in Geotechnical or similar field
- Overall, 7 to 9 years experience in Technical Risk Management in which having worked for reputed insurance /reinsurance companies in a technical role and previous about 7 years' experience in the construction industry of complex civil engineering projects
- Strong interactive, communication, leadership skills and conversant in utilizing current technology and standard computer software programs for reports and presentations
