Role Description
The Site Civil Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all civil construction activities on-site, ensuring that the contractors scope of work is executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with project requirements.
This role involves managing and guiding the civil site team, overseeing daily construction operations, and ensuring alignment with design specifications, contractual obligations, project schedules, and quality standards.
The Site Civil Engineer conducts regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions where necessary to maintain project timelines. The
position requires close monitoring of contractor performance to ensure adherence to technical specifications, quality benchmarks, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements.
Collaboration with the Civil Engineering Project Management team is essential for technical coordination and resolution of site-related issues. The role includes managing and tracking Requests for Information (RFIs), supporting the implementation of Field Quality Plans, and ensuring timely closure of technical queries.
Additionally, the Site Civil Engineer evaluates the constructability of design documents, provides feedback to engineering teams, and reviews contractor submissions such as Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and as-built drawings.
Regular reporting to the General Site Manager and Sub Project Manager Civil Engineering is required, covering key project aspects such as progress, schedule, quality, HSE compliance, risks, opportunities, contractor performance, and resource deployment.
The role also ensures strict compliance with company policies, applicable laws, and national and international safety standards, while upholding professional and ethical conduct in line with organizational guidelines.
