Job Description

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in network operations
  • Should have experience in production network environment in CISCO, Juniper, Palo Alto Platform
  • Extensive experience in a network operation in Security, LAN, WAN as Wireless
  • Must have hands on experience on Cisco, Juniper networking stack
  • Must have hands on experience on Palo Alto firewall (3020/3050/M-100/5250)
  • Strong Knowledge of Routing Protocols: BGP, MPLS, OSPF, VRRP, HSRP
  • Knowledge of Switch functions, VLAN, HSRP, STP, VTP, VXLAN, VTEP
  • Hands on experience in Palo Alto firewall management using Panaroma
  • Must to have knowledge of Cisco Devices : Cisco 1900/2900/2800/3900, ASR routers Series Routers, cisco 6500/4500/3750 Nexus Series Switches 9300
  • Must to have knowledge of Juniper Devices :MX5 T, Ex4200 , Ex 9208, Ex 3400, SRX 340/240, Ex 3300, Ex 4300/4600, SRX 340
  • Good to have knowledge on Brocade ICX 7250/7750/7450
  • Technical knowledge and practical experience of Security technologies and routing protocols, QoS switching technology.
  • Conversant in best practice appropriate to network and security
  • Must have good communication, collaboration skills for team management, leadership connect
  • Active participation in new technology evaluation, technical inputs for design discussions including support to cross functional teams, BoQ preparation, SoW preparation
  • Good understanding of hardware and software performance and scaling limitations
  • Good knowledge on monitoring tools for configuration management, optimization-e.g. Solarwinds, manage engine etc.
  • Operation support
  • Must ensure service uptime 99.99 for all critical services
  • Identify single point of failures (device, service) and provide mitigation /remediation strategy
  • Must possess advance troubleshooting skills for incident, problem management (RCA)
  • Must possess advance configuration skills for Change management
  • Active participation in S1P1 incidents to technically guide L2 team as well as discussion with TAC
  • Work with OEM for best practices adoption
  • Provide solution for optimization of routing/switching technologies
  • Provide solution for optimization of security policy/access rules
  • Monitor TAC requests and provide plan for upskilling to reduce TAC dependency
  • Provide necessary technical inputs for Audit findings
  • Provide technical support to L2 team for VA for assessment and remediation
  • Provide technical inputs for Device hardening/security best practices
  • Advance troubleshooting skills for Wireless management
  • Maintain patch management of the devices in production
  • Project support
  • Participate in new project requirement discussion for design discussion
  • Provide technical inputs for HLD/LLD phases
  • Provide technical support to L2 team during implementation phase
  • Certification-must to have CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto, Good to have-Cloud (AWS/Azure)
