Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman with commercial project experience to support the design and development of new branches, corporate offices, and renovation projects. The role involves preparing accurate layouts, coordinating with external stakeholders (architects, vendors, contractors), and contributing to the standardization of design features across all branches. The ideal candidate will have strong technical drafting skills, commercial interior design exposure, and the ability to translate business requirements into functional layouts.
Key Responsibilities
- Branch & Corporate Office Design
- Prepare detailed 2D/3D layouts, floor plans, and working drawings for new branches and corporate offices.
- Ensure designs align with business requirements, compliance norms, and brand identity.
- Develop space planning solutions to optimize branch functionality and customer experience.
- Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with architects, consultants, vendors, and contractors to finalize layouts and design details.
- Incorporate feedback from internal stakeholders (business teams, operations, compliance) into design revisions.
- Support project managers in ensuring timely delivery of design-related inputs.
- Standardization & New Model Development
- Assist in creating standard design templates and guidelines for branches and offices.
- Work on new branch models and innovative layouts to improve efficiency and aesthetics.
- Maintain a repository of design standards, furniture specifications, and material finishes.
- Documentation & Compliance
- Coordinate for as-built drawings and maintain updated records of all branch layouts.
- Ensure all designs comply with statutory regulations, safety norms, and corporate policies.
- Provide technical support during site inspections and audits.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Drafting (or equivalent).
- 36 years of experience as a Draftsman in commercial projects, preferably in BFSI, NBFC, or retail sectors.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar drafting/design software.
- Strong knowledge of commercial interiors, space planning, and MEP coordination.
Skills & Competencies
- Excellent technical drawing and detailing skills.
- Strong attention to accuracy and precision in drafting.
- Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into functional layouts.
- Good communication and coordination skills for working with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, and commercial fit-out standards.
Ability to work under tight timelines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
