Position: Accounts Payable Specialist
Experience: 35 years
Location: Pune
Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable professional with 35 years of relevant experience in Invoice Processing, Payment Reconciliation, and Query Resolution. The candidate should possess strong communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder interactions effectively while ensuring timely and accurate AP operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Perform 2-way/3-way matching of invoices with PO and GRN wherever applicable.
- Handle vendor queries and internal stakeholder escalations promptly.
- Maintain and update AP trackers, MIS reports, and payment status records.
- Perform payment reconciliation and support payment processing activities.
- Coordinate with vendors and business stakeholders for invoice discrepancies and issue resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and audit requirements.
- Support month-end closing activities related to Accounts Payable.
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on pending invoices/approvals.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve AP process efficiency.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes.
- Hands-on experience in Invoice Processing and Payment Reconciliation.
- Good stakeholder management.
- Experience in query handling and resolution management.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle etc.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
Exposure to shared services/GDC environment will be an added advantage.
