Job Description
This is a 1 year contractual role on RS Consultants payroll, extendable.
100% remote work. Once a year visit may be required to the base location in Pune.
Job Title: Test Lead (Automation & Test Management TOSCA Tricentis)
Experience Required: Minimum 6+ Years
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Test Lead with strong expertise in test management, automation, and framework setup for new software development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Tricentis TOSCA and other tools and proven ability to lead QA efforts from project inception through delivery.
This role requires a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on technical capability, including designing test approaches, establishing scalable automation frameworks, and mentoring team members.
Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Leadership
- Define and implement comprehensive test strategies aligned with project goals and timelines.
- Lead and manage the QA lifecycle for new software development projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (Product Owners, Developers, Architects) to ensure quality-driven delivery.
- Take ownership of test planning, estimation, execution, and reporting.
Framework Setup & Process Establishment
- Design and set up test frameworks from scratch for new applications.
- Establish best practices, standards, and QA processes across projects.
- Drive adoption of shift-left testing and continuous testing practices.
- Ensure proper test data management and environment readiness.
Automation & TOSCA Expertise
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Tricentis TOSCA.
- Lead automation strategy, including tool selection, framework design, and CI/CD integration.
- Ensure optimal test coverage and reusability of automation components.
- Troubleshoot and optimize automation execution and performance.
Hands-On Testing
- Actively participate in manual and automated test execution when required.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
- Conduct root cause analysis and work closely with development teams to resolve defects.
Team & Stakeholder Management
- Mentor and guide QA team members, promoting best practices and skill development.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth release cycles.
- Provide regular status reports, risk assessments, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Strong experience in test management and leadership roles.
- Proven experience in setting up QA frameworks for new projects.
- Hands-on expertise in Tricentis TOSCA automation tool.
- Solid understanding of:
- Test methodologies (Agile, Scrum, DevOps)
- Test design techniques
- Defect management tools (e.g., JIRA, Azure DevOps)
- Experience in CI/CD integration and continuous testing pipelines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in TOSCA Automation Specialist/Engineer.
- Experience with API testing, performance testing, or security testing.
- Exposure to cloud-based platforms (Azure/AWS).
- Knowledge of SQL and test data handling.
