Job Description
Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Guidewire BillingCenter (GW-Billing) Developer with strong expertise in Guidewire BillingCenter configuration, integration, and customization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and supporting billing solutions within Guidewire while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement solutions in Guidewire BillingCenter.
- Perform configuration, customization, and development using Gosu, BillingCenter APIs, and Guidewire Studio.
- Work on insurance billing workflows, including invoices, payments, commissions, and account management.
- Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using SOAP/REST web services, messaging queues, and APIs.
- Participate in requirement analysis, technical design, development, and testing phases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
- Follow best practices in Guidewire development, including coding standards and design patterns.
- Support deployment activities and environment setups.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience in Guidewire BillingCenter development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Gosu programming
- Guidewire Studio configuration
- BillingCenter Data Model & Product Model
- Experience in integration technologies (REST/SOAP, XML, JSON, messaging frameworks).
- Good understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance domain and billing lifecycle.
- Experience with SQL, relational databases (Oracle/SQL Server).
- Familiarity with version control tools (Git, SVN).
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Guidewire certifications (e.g., BillingCenter Developer Certification).
- Experience working on GW upgrades, cloud implementations, or digital integrations.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bamboo).
