Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist to drive data-driven decision-making, develop advanced analytical solutions, and lead a team of data scientists. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python (mandatory), machine learning, statistical modeling, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of end-to-end data science solutions (data collection, modeling, deployment, monitoring).
- Build and deploy machine learning and deep learning models for business use cases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Engineering, Business) to translate requirements into analytical solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists and analysts.
- Develop scalable and optimized data pipelines and model frameworks.
- Present insights and recommendations to leadership in a clear, actionable manner.
- Ensure best practices in model validation, governance, and performance monitoring.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong expertise in Python (must-have) hands-on experience with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow/PyTorch.
- Solid understanding of Machine Learning algorithms (Regression, Classification, Clustering, NLP, etc.).
- Experience with data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong knowledge of statistics and probability.
- Experience with SQL and database querying.
- Hands-on experience in model deployment and lifecycle management.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Big Data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).
- Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of MLOps tools (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
- Experience in NLP / Computer Vision / Generative AI (LLMs) is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Experience & Qualification
- 812 years of experience in data science or analytics roles.
- Proven experience in leading projects and teams.
- Bachelors/Masters/PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
