Lead the design and implementation of systems that enables Optum to derive information from patient data in a scalable, reliable, and cost-effective manner
Analyze clinical data and determine the best designs on how to process this data
Ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code and specifications
Lead by example to deliver product quality, including agile SCRUM methodologies, unit tests, code reviews and engineering design specifications
Lead systems design to allow customers to effectively ingest and store patient-related data and for data scientists and engineers to access this data with ease
Recommend and make buy vs build trade-offs to accelerate data engineering as a core competency
Be a trusted technical advisor to management, internal stakeholders, and customers
Mentor and lead other engineers to reach their potential

Required Qualifications:
BS with 7+ years or MS and 5+ years in Computer Science or similar experience
4+ years in Python programming
4+ years of hands-on experience in modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure or Google)
2+ years experience in a team lead role
GitHub hands-on experience including actions and CI/CD
Proven track record of engaging with customers to design and deliver at least two complete AI products, from ideation to product release
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience delivering LLM based cloud systems into production
Experience in Healthcare
