Summary:
Senior Engineering Manager with 13+ years of experience in Software Engineering, including 6+ years in leading Security Product Engineering teams. Strong expertise in building scalable cloud-native security platforms, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures. Experienced with Go, Node.js, Kubernetes, Kafka, Apache Flink, Terraform, Helm, and multi-cloud environments including AWS, GCP, and Azure. Proven track record in delivering enterprise security solutions related to threat detection, identity management, SIEM, WAF, IDS/IPS, and data protection systems.
Experience:
- 13+ years of overall Software Engineering experience
- 6+ years of Engineering Management experience
- 8+ years of experience with Distributed Systems & Microservices
- 7+ years of experience with Kubernetes & Container Platforms
- 6+ years of experience with Kafka & Event Streaming Platforms
- 5+ years of experience with Apache Flink
- 8+ years of experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- 6+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Helm & Chef
- 5+ years of experience with Go Programming
- 4+ years of experience with JavaScript/Node.js
- Strong experience in Security Engineering and Cloud Security Solutions
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing multi-disciplinary Security Engineering teams for building scalable security products
- Driving technical roadmap, architecture decisions, and product delivery execution
- Designing and implementing high-throughput distributed systems processing millions of events per second
- Managing Kubernetes-based security-critical workloads in cloud environments
- Collaborating with Product Managers, Architects, and Global Engineering teams for feature planning and GA releases
- Building and enhancing security platforms including Threat Detection, Identity Management, SIEM, WAF, IDS/IPS, and Data Protection solutions
- Managing technical debt reduction, sustaining engineering activities, and platform stability improvements
- Ensuring security best practices, code quality standards, and operational excellence across SDLC
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure Automation, and cloud-native deployment strategies
- Leading recruitment, mentoring, performance reviews, and career development for engineering teams
- Managing stakeholder communication, project timelines, risk mitigation, and cross-functional dependencies
- Driving observability, monitoring, incident management, and reliability engineering initiatives
