Job Description
Role & responsibilities
- Conduct independent Credit Audits of advances in line with RBIs Loan Review Mechanism (LRM).
- Review the entire credit lifecycle: sourcing, appraisal, sanctioning, documentation, disbursement, and post-disbursement monitoring.
- Perform 3600 assessments of loan assets to evaluate asset quality and detect early warning signals.
- Prepare crisp and insightful audit memos with clear observations and actionable recommendations.
- Monitor credit portfolio and analyze industry trends to assess potential impact on asset quality.
- Participate in account and process audits across business verticals, focusing on credit risk and operational integrity.
- Ensure adherence to internal credit policies, process manuals, and regulatory frameworks.
- Recommend improvements to credit processes, documentation standards, and internal controls.
- Develop and implement audit checklists to proactively identify process gaps and bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with Business, Credit, and Risk teams to ensure timely resolution of audit observations.
Support the preparation of periodic reports for senior management and regulatory submissions.
Preferred candidate profile
- Experience in Credit Audit, Credit Risk Review, or Corporate Banking.
Prior experience in an internal audit or risk function within a bank or financial institution preferred.
