Job Description
As a Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the technical direction of projects, ensuring robust data privacy measures and efficient database management. You will leverage your expertise in OneTrust, Data Privacy Foundation, Data Classification and Data Discovery to enhance system functionality and support business objectives. Your contributions will be instrumental in advancing the company's mission and positively impacting society.
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Configure Custom Classifiers
- Create and maintain regex, keyword, and dictionary-based classifiers for detecting PII, sensitive data, and regulatory-specific data (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Fine-tune classifier confidence thresholds and test accuracy using sample datasets.
- Execute & Monitor Data Scans
- Configure data source connections (structured & unstructured) and schedule scans in OneTrust Data Discovery.
- Monitor scan execution, troubleshoot failures, and optimize performance for large datasets.
- Data Classification & Result Validation
- Analyze scan results to ensure correct classification of sensitive data elements.
- Validate classifier hits, reduce false positives/negatives, and improve detection precision.
- Curation & Data Mapping
- Curate discovered data by tagging, categorizing, and mapping results to asset inventory and governance frameworks.
- Align classified data with regulatory categories and business taxonomy.
- Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Continuously refine classifiers and scan configurations based on scan outcomes, business feedback, and evolving data patterns.
- Perform periodic reviews to ensure coverage of new data types and regulatory requirements.
- Reporting & Stakeholder Support
- Generate dashboards, reports, and insights on sensitive data exposure and classification coverage.
- Collaborate with client compliance teams for testing and curation of scan findings etc..
