JOB DESCRIPTION:
7-8 years of experience in FinOps, Cloud Economics, Cloud Cost Optimization, or similar roles
.Strong understanding of AWS/Azure/GCP pricing, billing constructs, and cost management tools.
Hands-on experience with cost allocation, tagging standards, and financial controls
.Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate spend data into actionable insights.
Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or scripting (Python/SQL/PowerShell).
Experience working with containerized environments like Kubernetes (preferred).
Cloud Financial Management
Manage and optimize cloud spending across AWS, Azure, and/or
- GCP.Conduct recurring cloud spend reviews, identify cost anomalies, and implement costsaving opportunities
- .Develop and maintain cost allocation structures, tagging standards, and financial governance models
- .Lead the adoption of cost optimization techniques such as rightsizing, autoscaling, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and storage lifecycle management
- .FinOps Governance & StrategyBuild and mature the organizations FinOps practice, processes, and governance frameworks
- .Define and run chargeback/showback models and ensure cost accountability across teams
- .Partner with engineering, finance, and leadership teams to drive cloud budgeting and forecasting
- .Create and maintain playbooks, best practices, and financial operational guidelines
- .Reporting & Forecasting
Prepare monthly/quarterly cloud financial reports and executive dashboards
.Own cloud cost forecasting, budget variance analysis, and unit economics modeling
.Present insights and recommendations to leadership in a clear, datadriven manner
.Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
Work closely with engineering teams to influence cost-aware architecture and deployments.
Serve as the primary FinOps advisor to product, finance, and operations teams
.Conduct training sessions to promote a FinOps culture across the organization
.Automation & Tooling
Use tools like Cloud Health, Cloud ability, Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer, Datadog, Grafana,etc
.Automate reporting, alerting, and anomaly detection using Python, Power BI, Excel, or cloud-native tools
.Contribute to building internal FinOps dashboards and automation workflows.
