Job Description
Job Purpose:
To provide the Quality care Service to the patients in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organization.
Job Responsibilities :
- Taking over from previous shift.
- Carbalization of equipments such as incubators, warmers etc
- Cleaning of sterilizer, kettle ,feeding bottle etc.
- Attending doctors rounds and carrying their orders.
- Administration of medication intravenous/oral.
- Preparation of formula and feeding the babies through ngt/bottle.
- Assisting to doctors for procedures such as
a) uac/uvc insertion
b) ivline/long line insertion.
c) lumber puncture
d) intubation/extubation.
e) oxygen administration
f) intracostal drain tube insertion.
g) exachange transfution
- Babies transporting by ambulance.
- Starting an intravenious line and collecting blood samples for test.
- Starting iv fluids/TPN .
- Transfusing blood and blood products.
- Monitoring vitals hourly and recording.
- Maintaining IP records in detailed documentation.
- Assisting mothers for breasting.
- NGT insertion and giving lavage.
- Weight checking and recording ,
- Bathing the babies daily.
- Hearing test and immunization.
- Admission and discharge procedure.
- post of care.
- keeping ready ventilator and bubble cpap with all connection.
- Attending delivery in LDR/OT.
- Shifting the babies from NICU to ward with mother.
- Shifting the babies to clumax for MRI/CT /EEG.
- Collecting all lab reports and intimating to doctors.
- Assisting for embrace study.
- Co-ordinating with GREs.
- Precipitating the new staff .
- Updating activities after all the procedures.
- Pharmacy items billing indenting through the system .
- Replacing pharmacy items to stock.
- Checking and maintaining consumable/non consumable registers.
- CSSD /ETO items sending and receiving.
- Informing and getting repaired biomedical items.
- Maintaining registers like lending, borrowing, communication etc
- Maintaining linen register sending and receiving from laundry.
