Job Description
- Design and develop modular DBT models following staging, intermediate, and mart layer architecture
- Write optimized SQL transformations for Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Azure Synapse
- Build incremental models, snapshots, and seeds to handle large data volumes efficiently
- Implement DBT tests schema tests, singular tests, and dbt-expectations for data quality
- Set up source freshness monitoring, alerting, and SLA tracking for data pipelines
- Integrate DBT with Airflow, Prefect, or DBT Cloud Scheduler for orchestration
- Manage DBT deployments across dev, UAT, and production environments via CI/CD
- Produce model and column-level documentation for data catalog and lineage requirements
- Engage with client teams to gather requirements and translate business logic into data models
- Provide knowledge transfer and post-delivery training to client teams
