Job Description
Role Overview
The Executive Direct Taxation will be responsible for supporting and ensuring timely compliance with direct tax regulations, including TDS, income tax filings, tax audits, reconciliations, and statutory reporting. The role will work closely with finance and business teams to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process monthly TDS/TCS calculations, payments, and related reconciliations.
- Assist in filing quarterly TDS/TCS returns and ensuring compliance with statutory timelines.
- Support preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns and Tax Audit documentation.
- Assist in Advance Tax, Deferred Tax, and direct tax-related computations.
- Handle tax reconciliations including Form 26AS and books of accounts.
- Support responses to income tax notices, assessments, and departmental queries.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for tax audits, returns, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure accurate accounting and bookkeeping of tax-related transactions.
- Support SFT compliance and other statutory reporting requirements.
- Prepare tax-related reports, schedules, and MIS for management review.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Good understanding of direct tax laws and compliances.
- Knowledge of TDS, Income Tax Returns, Tax Audits, and reconciliations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- SAP knowledge preferred.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
