Job Description
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger.
- Handle inventory and cost accounting for product-based business models (manufacturing, jewellery, e-commerce, luxury retail).
- Ensure statutory compliance with Indian accounting standards (GST, TDS, Companies Act).
- Prepare financial statements, MIS reports, and cash flow projections.
- Oversee audits, tax filings, and liaise with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain and optimize accounting software/ERP systems (Tally, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Support founders in financial planning, budgeting, and strategy decisions.
- Lead and mentor junior accounting staff (if applicable).
- Proven accounting experience (manufacturing, jewellery, e-commerce, or luxury retail preferred).
- Strong knowledge of inventory accounting, cost accounting, and compliance.
- Deep understanding of Indian accounting standards and regulations (GST, TDS, Companies Act).
- Proficient in accounting software & ERP systems (Tally, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- High integrity, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team leadership experience is a plus.
