Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Project Financial Reporting
- Preparation of Monthly Profit & Loss Statements for all projects and the region.
- Review and finalization of Cost to Complete (CTC) for each project.
- Conduct monthly project margin variance analysis and identify key deviations.
2. Cost & Budget Management
- Monthly preparation of Direct & Indirect Cost variance reports vs. approved budgets and followup with Project Heads for corrective measures.
- Monitor Resource Utilization (P&M / Formwork / Staff) and highlight cost impacts to Project Managers.
- Ensure strong cost control and budget monitoring across all project functions.
3. Billing, Receivables & Commercial Compliance
- Review Work Done Authentication (WDA) and verify subcontractor liabilities.
- Review client bills and oversee preparation, monitoring, ageing analysis, and recovery action plans for receivables.
- Monitor NT (NonTender) items, prepare supporting documentation, submit variation claims, and follow up for certification and approval.
- Review price escalations, claims, and commercial justifications to ensure compliance and timely processing.
- Ensure reconciliation of major materials, capturing variances and reporting them accurately.
4. Estimation, Planning & Cash Flow
- Prepare and review Prestart Estimates (PSE) ensuring optimized margins.
- Prepare cash flow statements for each project and the region.
- Support preparation and finalization of yearly budgets, cost projections, and margin plans.
5. Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with project teams, procurement, contracts, planning, and finance to ensure timely commercial deliverables.
- Prepare Monthly / Quarterly Management Presentations covering key commercial insights, cost status, and financial metrics.
- Effective utilization and monitoring through SAP or similar ERP modules for costing, material management, and reporting.
6. Project Commercial Closure
- Manage project commercial closing activities, including reconciliation of costs, materials, final bills, subcontractor closures, and claim settlement.
- Ensure contractual closure, including final documentation, settlement of variations & claims, and compliance with client/contract requirements.
- Prepare final commercial reports capturing cost, margin, and variance summaries for project completion.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: 12 to 18 years in reputed civil construction companies.
- Project Exposure: Mandatory experience in highrise and commercial building projects.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP platforms.
- Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and reporting capabilities.
