Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a motivated Data Science Engineer eager to grow their skills in NLP, machine learning, and Gen AI application development. Working closely with senior engineers and the lead data scientist, you will contribute to real-world AI projects building data pipelines, developing NLP components, and integrating ML models into production APIs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a solid technical foundation and is ready to accelerate their career in applied AI.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to building and maintaining ML , DL and NLP pipelines under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Implement ML, DL and NLP modules including Tensforflow, PyTorch, tokenization, Named Entity Recognition (NER), Data/text preprocessing, and feature extraction.
- Assist in Gen AI integrating LLM-based capabilities into application workflows using Hugging Face and similar frameworks.
- Develop and maintain RESTful API endpoints using FastAPI to serve ML , DL model predictions and NLP functions.
- Support asynchronous task processing using Celery and contribute to job queue configuration and monitoring.
- Write clean, readable, version-controlled Python code following team conventions; participate in code reviews to learn and improve.
- Query, explore, and preprocess data using SQL to support feature engineering and model evaluation.
- Assist in model training, hyperparameter tuning, and performance evaluation using Scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
- Document code, experiments, and findings clearly; communicate progress and blockers to the team effectively.
- Learn and apply best practices around security, including working with Keycloak for authentication in ML service integrations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 35 years of professional experience in data science, software engineering, NLP, or a closely related field.
- Solid Python programming skills: writing modular, testable code; familiarity with common libraries (Pandas, NumPy, etc.).
- Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction, filtering, aggregation, and joining across relational databases.
- Foundational NLP knowledge: tokenization, text cleaning, NER, and experience with at least one NLP framework (spaCy, NLTK, Hugging Face).
- Exposure to ML/DL frameworks such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face Transformers.
- Basic understanding of LLMs and their applications (text generation, classification, question-answering).
- Introductory experience with FastAPI or similar web frameworks for building APIs.
- Familiarity with Git for version control: committing, branching, and working in collaborative repositories.
- Strong analytical mindset and a structured approach to problem-solving.
- Good written and spoken English communication skills; comfortable asking questions and explaining your work.
