Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

A medical coder trainee assists in translating clinical documentation into standardized codes, supporting accurate billing, compliance, and healthcare data management.

A medical coder trainee primarily reviews patient records, physician notes, discharge summaries, and procedure reports to assign appropriate diagnostic and procedural codes using systems like ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS Level II nextinhr.com+1. Trainees work under supervision to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with coding standards and regulatory requirements
