Working Days: 6 days a week
Role Overview
We are seeking a calm, decisive, and highly organized Crisis Management Specialist to anticipate, prepare for, and respond to situations that pose operational, reputational, regulatory, or safety risks to the organization. The role works closely with the Founder and leadership team to build crisis-readiness, coordinate real-time response during incidents, manage stakeholder and media communication, and lead post-incident reviews.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in business, communications, public administration, risk management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable experience in crisis management, risk management, emergency response, or business continuity planning.
- Proficiency in multiple languages, including English and at least one regional language (Telugu and/or Hindi), for clear communication across stakeholders, media, and authorities.
- Must have lived independently in another state or abroad, demonstrating adaptability, self-reliance, and the ability to operate outside a familiar support system.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills, including the ability to draft clear situation reports and official statements.
- Proven ability to remain composed, think clearly, and make sound decisions under high pressure and ambiguity.
- Ability to multitask, maintain strict confidentiality, and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Availability for on-call response, including outside standard business hours, and willingness to travel at short notice when an incident requires on-site presence.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills, with comfort interfacing with senior leadership, external agencies, vendors, regulators, and the press.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and regularly update crisis management plans, escalation protocols, and business continuity / disaster recovery procedures.
- Continuously monitor and identify potential risks, threats, and early warning signs across operations, reputation, and compliance.
- Act as the central point of coordination during incidents, mobilizing internal teams and external stakeholders for a unified response.
- Prepare crisis communications, holding statements, briefing notes, and situation reports for the Founder and leadership team.
- Manage communication with internal stakeholders, external partners, authorities, and the media during active crises.
- Track action items, follow-ups, and critical deadlines throughout the lifecycle of an incident.
- Plan and conduct drills, simulations, and training to keep teams crisis-ready.
- Maintain accurate, confidential incident logs and documentation.
- Lead post-incident reviews, capture lessons learned, and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Founder during high-pressure and time-sensitive situations.
