Technician Blood Bank @ Fortis

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Technician to join our Blood Bank team at Fortis Healthcare Ltd. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in blood bank operations and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Roles and Responsibility

• Operate and maintain blood bank equipment, including centrifuges, refrigerators, and other medical devices.


• Collect, process, and store blood samples from donors.


• Conduct tests on blood samples to ensure they meet quality standards.


• Maintain accurate records of blood donations and transfusions.


• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care.


• Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or degree in a relevant field such as biology, chemistry, or medicine.


• At least 2 years of experience working in a blood bank or related field.


• Strong knowledge of blood group systems, blood collection techniques, and blood product processing.


• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues.


• Familiarity with laboratory information systems and software applications.


• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining confidentiality.
