Job Description
Job Title: Gen AI Automation Tester
Experience: 6-10 Years
Location: Bangalore / Chennai
Mode: WFO (5 days a week)
Interview Mode: Virtual + F2F
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with a strong coding foundation and growing exposure to Generative AI to join our QA team. The ideal candidate brings solid hands-on experience building test automation frameworks using Selenium or Playwright, a developer-grade coding mindset, and a keen interest in applying Gen AI techniques to modern testing challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain robust test automation frameworks using Selenium or Playwright
- Write clean, maintainable test code and contribute to shared framework libraries and utilities
- Develop and execute functional, regression, and integration test suites for web and API-based applications
- Explore and apply Gen AI tools and techniques to enhance test coverage, test data generation, and defect analysis
- Collaborate with developers and AI/ML engineers to understand application behaviour and define testability requirements
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and maintain pipeline health
- Contribute to test data management strategies and validation approaches for AI-driven workflows
- Participate in code reviews for test automation code and promote quality engineering best practices
- Work with stakeholders to translate requirements into testable scenarios
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 6-10 years of overall experience in QA and Test Automation
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium or Playwright for UI and end-to-end automation
- Solid programming skills in Python or Java comfortable building frameworks from scratch, not just writing scripts
- Proven experience designing and maintaining page object models, utility libraries, and reusable test components
- Good understanding of API testing using tools like REST Assured, Postman, or pytest
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and integrating test suites into pipelines
- Exposure to Gen AI concepts such as using LLMs for test case generation, exploratory testing assistance, or log analysis
Technical Expertise
- Core: Selenium WebDriver / Playwright, Python or Java, pytest / TestNG / JUnit
- API Testing: REST Assured, Postman, requests (Python)
- Version Control & CI/CD: Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions
- Containerisation basics: Docker (ability to run tests in containers)
- Gen AI Exposure: Familiarity with tools like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar for testing use cases; awareness of LLM-based application behaviour and how to validate it
- Basic understanding of prompt engineering and how LLM outputs can be evaluated
Good to Have
- Exposure to performance testing tools (JMeter, Locust, k6)
- Experience testing APIs built on LangChain or similar orchestration frameworks
- Awareness of vector databases or RAG-based application architectures from a testing perspective
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) from a test environment setup standpoint
- Knowledge of security testing fundamentals

- Curious about emerging AI tools and eager to apply them in a testing context
- Clear communicator who can articulate test coverage and quality risks to non-technical stakeholders
