Job Description
Zensar Technologies seeks a Functional Tester to support and validate a legacy Warehouse Management System (WMS) without vendor assistance, ensuring accurate backend data in an Oracle environment.*
Description for Internal CandidatesThe Functional Tester will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing a critical legacy WMS, working closely with business stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. This role demands a hands-on approach to validate backend data, with no direct vendor support available. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C++ and Oracle, and be able to collaborate effectively with business users to understand and address their needs.
Responsibilities for Internal Candidates
- Support and maintain a legacy WMS with no vendor support, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy.
- Validate backend data in an Oracle environment, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements, and translate these into functional testing scenarios.
- Execute comprehensive functional tests to ensure the WMS meets business requirements and industry standards.
- Document and report on test results, providing clear and concise feedback to the business and development teams.
- Identify and suggest improvements to the WMS, considering both technical and business perspectives.
- Work with the development team to implement and test new features or enhancements to the WMS.
- Ensure data integrity and security throughout the testing process, adhering to industry best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest WMS trends and technologies, and provide recommendations for system upgrades or replacements.
- Act as a point of contact for any WMS-related queries or issues, providing timely and accurate responses.
Qualifications for Internal Candidates
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in functional testing, with a strong background in C++ and Oracle.
- Proven experience in testing and validating backend data, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a systematic approach to testing and issue resolution.
- Experience with test case design and documentation, ensuring clear and comprehensive test coverage.
- Familiarity with industry-standard testing tools and methodologies, and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with a results-driven mindset.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- A proactive and innovative approach to testing, with a focus on continuous improvement.
