Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer (ADF, Snowflake, PySpark) with 6+ years of experience in building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and PySpark, along with solid SQL and Python skills.
This role involves designing scalable data solutions, ensuring data governance, and delivering high-quality data pipelines. Experience in Pharma/Life Sciences domain is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:-
Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory
Schedule, orchestrate, and monitor workflows, ensuring timely and reliable execution
Implement data governance standards, data quality checks, and best practices
Build and optimize data pipelines using PySpark for large-scale data processing
Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries for data transformation and analytics
Perform ELT transformations in Snowflake and enable efficient data sharing
Integrate Snowflake with ADF, PySpark, and BI/reporting tools
Collaborate with business stakeholders and data teams to understand requirements
Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot failures, and implement robust error handling mechanisms
Ensure data consistency, reliability, and performance across systems
Mandatory Skills:-
4+ years of experience in ETL/ELT development
2+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake
Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Hands-on experience with PySpark for data engineering and transformations
Strong SQL skills for querying and data manipulation
Proficiency in Python for data processing and pipeline development
Experience in implementing data governance and data quality frameworks.
Preferred Skills:-
Understanding of cloud data warehousing concepts
Knowledge of data modeling (Star/Snowflake schema) and architecture
Experience in Pharma / Life Sciences domain (good to have)
Exposure to Agile / Scrum methodologies.
Professional Experience:-
6+ years of experience in data engineering / ETL development roles
Experience working with large-scale and complex datasets
Proven ability to deliver high-quality data solutions in enterprise environments.
