Job Description Project Manager (Financial Governance)

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager with strong expertise in Financial Governance, project planning, and execution within an IT or technology-driven environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving financial discipline across projects, maintaining end-to-end governance, and ensuring that project outcomes align with business objectives and financial standards.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Governance & Control
- Lead and maintain strong financial governance across all project phases.
- Manage and track Opex and Capex budgets with high accuracy.
- Create and maintain a Financial Roadmap/Budget Plan aligned with organizational goals.
- Ensure adherence to financial compliance, audit standards, and governance frameworks.
SOW (Statement of Work) Management
- Create, review, and manage Statement of Work (SOW) documents.
- Track SOW progress, milestones, and financial commitments.
- Ensure vendor/partner alignment with SOW terms and deliverables.
Project Management Execution
- Develop and manage detailed project plans using the Waterfall Model (considered a core requirement).
- Execute projects within defined timelines, quality metrics, and scope.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery.
- Monitor project risks, dependencies, resource plans, and financial implications.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Provide periodic project and financial updates to leadership.
- Maintain dashboards, trackers, and MIS reports for project and financial governance.
- Partner with technical teams, finance teams, and leadership to drive clarity and accountability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant experience in Project Management & Financial Governance.
- Strong working knowledge of Waterfall methodology.
- Hands-on experience with Opex/Capex management, budgeting, and cost forecasting.
- Experience in SOW creation, negotiation, and tracking.
- Solid understanding of IT project lifecycles; IT background preferred.
- Excellent skills in Excel, budgeting tools, planning sheets, and project documentation.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical abilities.
