Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Scribe to assist healthcare providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in real time. The Medical Scribe will support physicians and other healthcare professionals by maintaining complete and accurate medical records, improving workflow efficiency, and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accompany physicians during patient consultations and document medical histories, examinations, assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Record patient information accurately and efficiently while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Update patient charts, including medications, allergies, laboratory results, imaging reports, and diagnostic information.
  • Prepare and organize medical records for patient visits.
  • Assist providers with chart completion and documentation review.
  • Ensure all documentation meets organizational, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to support patient care activities.
  • Track and manage incomplete records, pending orders, and documentation requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and documentation guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, or certification in a healthcare-related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and clinical documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Transcriptionist, or Healthcare Documentation Specialist.
  • Familiarity with specialty-specific terminology (e.g., Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Emergency Medicine).
  • Certification in Medical Scribing or related healthcare documentation programs.
