Job Description
- 7+ years of experience working as a DevOps Engineer
- Design & Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform for efficient provisioning and management of cloud services in an AWS environment. (EC2. RDS, S3, Lambda and others)
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available AWS infrastructure solutions.
- Resolving problems across multiple application domains and platforms using system troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques. Implement preventative measures to avoid recurring problems.
- Help teams to define, build and run the infrastructure supporting their applications.
- Implement and design automated pipelines to enable CI/CD, infrastructure as code, security tooling, configuration, code and data to drive automated development and boost team productivity.
- Implement and maintain security best practices, including access controls, encryption and compliance standards.
- Support & perform security assessments, ensuring a proactive approach.
- Set up and maintain monitoring, logging and alerting systems.
- Analyse system performance and make recommendations to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Lead on ensuring the solutions have robust Disaster Recovery and Back-up plans to ensure data availability, data integrity and resilience in the event of failures or disasters.
- You will work with engineering teams to adopt standard patterns and to create standard patterns as appropriate.
- Perform Oncall and be stand-by for any DevOps related issues
- Contribute to agile events as a part of the squad, including engineering improvement forums such as round table sessions.
- Create, update and share documentation via knowledge transfer working sessions as required
- Implement DevOps best practices for Databricks. Design and manage scalable, automated CI/CD pipelines for Databricks environments, ensuring efficient provisioning, monitoring, and deployment of Databricks clusters, jobs, and notebooks.
- Utilise tools such as Databricks CLI and Databricks Asset Bundles (DAB) to automate cluster management and enforce security best practices, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Insurance domain
- Exposure to CI/CD for data platforms.
- Experience with data reconciliation, auditability, and regulatory reporting
