Key responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise granulation processes (wet granulation, dry granulation, high-shear mixing, fluid bed processing).
- Ensure production targets are achieved in terms of quantity, quality, and timelines.
- Monitor batch manufacturing activities in compliance with Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR)
- Ensure adherence to cGMP, WHO, USFDA, MHRA, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Review and approve SOPs related to granulation operations.
- Coordinate with QA/QC for in-process checks and batch release requirements.
- Handle deviations, CAPA, change control, and audit observations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield, reduce wastage, and improve cycle time.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective measures.
- Introduce new technologies and best practices to improve granulation efficiency.
- Lead, train, and mentor granulation operators, supervisors, and technical staff.
- Ensure proper manpower planning and shift management.
- Promote a culture of safety, discipline, and continuous learning.
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of granulation equipment such as:
- Rapid Mixer Granulator (RMG)
- Fluid Bed Dryer (FBD)
- Multi Mill / Co-mill
- Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance with the engineering team.
- Ensure equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of production activities, logbooks, and reports.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Ensure strict data integrity (ALCOA principles).
- Ensure adherence to EHS guidelines and safe working practices.
- Conduct risk assessments, safety training, and incident investigations.
- Maintain a cleanroom environment as per pharmaceutical standards.
