Prepare, clean, and sterilize bronchoscopy equipment and instruments before and after procedures.
2. Assist physicians during bronchoscopy procedures by providing necessary instruments and support.
3. Monitor patients vital signs and comfort levels during bronchoscopy, reporting any concerns to the healthcare team.
4. Maintain accurate records of procedures and patient information in accordance with hospital policies.
5. Educate patients and their families regarding the bronchoscopy process, including pre-procedure instructions and post-procedure care.
6. Troubleshoot any technical issues with bronchoscopy equipment and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
7. Participate intraining and education regarding best practices in bronchoscopy procedures and patient care. Skills and Tools Required: 1. Knowledge of bronchoscopy procedures and related medical terminology.
2. Proficiency in operating and maintaining bronchoscopy and related medical equipment.
3. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and medical staff.
4. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to ensure all procedures are conducted smoothly.
5. Ability to work well under pressure and handle emergencies with composure.
6. Familiarity with infection control protocols and safety regulations in a clinical setting.
7. Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred; advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) certification is a plus.
8. Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other hospital management software.
