Job Description Job Summary
- We are seeking a Business Analyst with experience in Data, Data Operations, and Data Analytics program to lead the design, delivery, and adoption of data products, dashboards, and insights platforms within business operations teams.
- This role sits at the intersection of product management, data analytics, with expertise in supply chain domain (preferred), helping business understand data capabilities, translate their needs into tangible requirements for the data engineering and data analytics team and build a robust data services ecosystem for the business & end customers.
- You will work with business stakeholders, data engineering teams, BI developers, and architects to build scalable data solutions leveraging AWS Cloud, Databricks Lakehouse, Sigma BI, SQL Server, and DataGalaxy governance platform.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Data Product Strategy & Ownership
- Help define and manage the roadmap for data products, analytics platforms, and BI dashboards supporting logistics operations.
- Develop domain-focused data products for:
- LTL pricing & quoting optimization
- Carrier performance & route efficiency
- Warehouse operations & inventory visibility
- End-to-end shipment tracking & KPIs
- Drive adoption of data as a product mindset, aligning analytics outputs to measurable business outcomes.
- 2. Stakeholder Engagement & Business Translation
- Partner with operations, pricing, supply chain, and leadership teams to define:
- KPIs and metrics frameworks
- Reporting and dashboard requirements
- Advanced analytics use cases
- Act as the bridge between business and data/engineering teams, ensuring clarity and alignment.
- Partner with operations, pricing, supply chain, and leadership teams to define:
- 3. Data & Analytics Delivery (AWS + Databricks + Sigma)
- Translate business requirements into:
- Databricks-based data models (Lakehouse architecture)
- Scalable data pipelines on AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift/Synapse equivalent patterns)
- Semantic datasets and curated layers for BI
- Partner with BI teams to deliver interactive dashboards using Sigma, enabling:
- Self-service analytics
- Spreadsheet-like exploration for business users
- Real-time querying on governed data
- Ensure seamless integration of SQL Server-based data sources into the enterprise analytics ecosystem.
- Translate business requirements into:
- BA - Business Analyst - Requirement Gathering
- BA - Business Analyst - Business Process Modelling
- BA - Business Analyst - Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- BA - Domain knowledge
