Job Description
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Software Test Engineer to join our QA team. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through manual and/or automated testing. Your primary goal will be to identify issues before product release, ensuring optimal performance and a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Develop and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Perform manual and/or automated testing on web, mobile, or desktop applications.
- Identify, record, and thoroughly document bugs using appropriate tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
- Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Perform regression, integration, system, and performance testing as needed.
- Contribute to test automation scripts and frameworks (if applicable).
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and ensure that defects are properly tracked and resolved.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
- Help maintain QA documentation and continuously improve testing processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with test automation tools/frameworks like:
- Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, or JUnit
- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience with performance/load testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
- Exposure to testing cloud-native or microservices-based applications.
