Job Description
Senior Infrastructure Automation Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to architect, design, and manage infrastructure automation across Kubernetes-based hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kubernetes cluster design and management, along with strong skills in Puppet, Ansible, Infrastructure as Code (laC), CI/CD pipelines, and patch management, ensuring secure, consistent, and scalable infrastructure operations.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain configuration management solutions using Puppet and Ansible.
- Architect, design, and manage Kubernetes clusters, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
- Define best practices and guide the team in Kubernetes deployment, container orchestration, and operational excellence.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (laC) templates for automated provisioning and configuration.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment and patching workflows.
- Implement automated patch management processes across virtualized and physical environments.
- Collaborate with security and operations teams to enforce compliance and hardening standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot automation pipelines and configuration drift to ensure consistent system states and reliable deployments.
- Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity automation.
- Document automation, laC modules, and configuration management processes for compliance and operational knowledge
- Contribute to improving delivery speed, reliability, and operational excellence through
- automation
Qualifications:
- You have a degree in computer science/information technology orientation, as well as several years of professional experience in the field of IT infrastructure and automation
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in configuration management and automation in virtualized or private cloud environments.
- Proven experience in Kubernetes architecture, cluster design, and guiding teams in containerized solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with Puppet (architecture, modules, manifests).
- Proficiency in Ansible for orchestration and automation.
- Experience with laC tools (Terraform, Pulumi) and scripting languages (Python, Bash). Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Expertise in patch management strategies and tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks and security best practices.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Puppet, Ansible, Chef).
- Knowledge of network virtualization and SDN.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Opsview, Grafana).
- *Experience with public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
