Role: Technical Lead / Engineering Lead (Java + AWS Migration)
Experience Required: ~10 Years
Notice Period: Immediate to 10 Days Max (Strict Requirement)
Location: Bangalore / Hyderabad / Chennai / Pune (Hybrid/Onsite)
Compensation: Up to 28 - 29 LPA (Based on experience & interview performance)
Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned, hands-on Technical Lead with ~10 years of software engineering experience, specializing in Java/Spring Boot and AWS Migration. In this role, you will lead a highly skilled engineering team to architect, refactor, and migrate complex legacy/on-premises enterprise Java applications into secure, resilient, and scalable AWS cloud-native environments.
As a Lead, you will balance architectural decision-making, hands-on modern engineering practices, and technical mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Migration Strategy: Lead the assessment, design, and execution of migration strategies (Re-platforming, Refactoring, and Re-architecting) to move monolithic enterprise Java applications onto AWS.
- Architecture & Design: Design scalable, secure, and resilient microservices architectures on AWS, utilizing cloud-native patterns and modernizing legacy application stacks.
- Hands-on Engineering: Write high-quality, secure production code (Java, Spring Boot) and establish engineering excellence benchmarks including robust unit testing, CI/CD, and peer code reviews.
- Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of 58 developers. Drive Agile methodologies, resolve complex technical bottlenecks, and ensure delivery alignment with timeline commitments.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy infrastructure via automated CI/CD pipelines utilizing IaC tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Performance Optimization: Conduct application modernization assessments, addressing post-migration performance tuning, database scaling, and cost-optimization across AWS resources.
Required Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Core Technical Stack: Strong expertise in Java (8/11/17), Spring Boot, Microservices, Hibernate/JPA, and RESTful APIs.
- AWS Core Services: Proven, deep hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, EKS/ECS (Kubernetes), Lambda (Serverless), S3, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, Route 53, and SQS/SNS.
- Migration Toolkit: Experience with cloud migration frameworks and modernization practices. Exposure to AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) or Database Migration Service (DMS) is highly desirable.
- DevOps & Automation: Hands-on experience building/maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI) and writing IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation).
- Database & Messaging: Solid database experience (SQL/NoSQL) and message brokers like Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills to interact seamlessly with technical teams and business leadership.

Must be Immediate or able to join within 10 days.
Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, or Pune.
