We are looking for a Bankruptcy Specialist to join our growing team and play a critical role in managing bankruptcy cases under Chapters 7, 11, and 13 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. Key Responsibilities


As a Bankruptcy Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and supporting bankruptcy matters while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations.


Core Responsibilities


Handle bankruptcy-related accounts under Chapters 7, 11, and 13 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.

Research, review, and process bankruptcy cases while maintaining complete case accuracy.

Resolve customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally and effectively.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions and account activities within designated systems.

Update, modify, and maintain customer information across internal platforms.

Educate customers and authorized representatives regarding relevant loan agreement terms and account-related information.

Manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines and quality standards.

Ensure compliance with all federal and state bankruptcy laws, court procedures, and operational guidelines.

Execute responsibilities in accordance with Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) and other regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support legal and operational objectives.

Meet individual productivity targets, service levels, and departmental performance metrics.

Participate in all required compliance trainings, certifications, and organizational initiatives.


MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS (HIGHLY IMPORTANT)


Candidates must meet ALL the following requirements:


Expert Knowledge of US Bankruptcy Process


  • Strong understanding of Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy procedures.
  • Ability to interpret and manage bankruptcy-related documentation and workflows.

Excellent Communication Skills


  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact confidently with customers, attorneys, representatives, and internal stakeholders.

Night Shift Availability


  • Must be comfortable working in a Night Shift environment.

Work from Office


  • Must be willing to work from office 5 days per week.

Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the Financial Services Industry
  • Strong computer proficiency
  • Excellent multitasking ability, including the ability to talk and type simultaneously
  • Proven ability to remain focused in a continuous workflow environment
  • Ability to perform effectively within established productivity and quality standards

Preferred Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree with completion of an accredited Paralegal Program
  • 1+ year of Bankruptcy or Probate experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Legal Operations
  • Familiarity with:
    • PACER
    • LexisNexis
    • Document Management Systems
  • Experience working with US legal and financial processes
