Job Description

AWS Data Architect
The AWS Data Architect is responsible for the blueprinting and governance of our enterprise data assets. You will design high-performance data structures that enable seamless analytics, machine learning, and reporting across the Chase ecosystem. Your focus is on data strategy, schema design, and integration patternsensuring our data is a reliable, high-velocity asset rather than a storage liability.

Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Modern AWS Data Stack: Deep proficiency in AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift (RA3 nodes), Amazon Athena, and Lake Formation.
• Advanced SQL & Optimization: Expert-level SQL skills, including the ability to tune complex queries and design optimal distribution keys in distributed databases.
• Data Integration (ETL/ELT): Strong experience in designing ELT patterns where transformation happens within the cloud warehouse to leverage compute scale.
• Governance & Privacy: Experience with data masking, tokenization, and fine-grained access control to meet stringent financial regulatory requirements.
• NoSQL & Search: Understanding of when to utilize DynamoDB for low-latency lookups versus OpenSearch for complex indexing.
