Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced US Mortgage Closer with hands-on, end-to-end closing experience in the US residential mortgage process.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete mortgage closing lifecycle from Clear-to-Close (CTC) to post-closing/funding.
  • Review loan files to ensure all underwriting conditions have been satisfied prior to closing.
  • Prepare, review, and validate Closing Disclosure (CD) and closing packages in compliance with TRID guidelines.
  • Coordinate with title companies, escrow officers, lenders, borrowers, and internal stakeholders to schedule and finalize closings.
  • Ensure accuracy of loan terms, fees, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Conduct pre-closing audits to confirm all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Handle funding requests and ensure timely disbursement of funds.
  • Resolve discrepancies related to closing documents, fees, or compliance issues.
  • Maintain proper documentation and update systems with closing status and notes.
  • Work closely with underwriting, processing, and post-closing teams for seamless loan movement.
  • Ensure adherence to investor guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA, etc.).
  • Support audits and quality control reviews by maintaining complete and compliant loan files.
  • Meet turnaround time (TAT) and productivity benchmarks.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in US mortgage closing, with proven end-to-end closing exposure.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • TRID regulations
    • Closing Disclosure (CD) preparation and timelines
    • Loan estimates and fee tolerance rules
    • Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan programs
  • Hands-on experience with LOS systems such as Encompass, Calyx, or similar platforms.
  • Excellent knowledge of title, escrow, and funding processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in financial and legal documents.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Effective communication skills for coordinating with US-based clients and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to work in US shifts.
  • Graduate in Finance, Commerce, or related field (preferred)
