Job Description
Key Responsibilities Regional Head of Operations (BMS Projects)
- Lead and oversee end-to-end execution and operational delivery of multiple BMS projects across assigned regions/cities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Drive regional project strategy, resource planning, execution governance, and operational excellence for BMS, HVAC controls, ELV, and building automation projects.
- Manage regional project teams, including Project Managers, Site Engineers, Commissioning Engineers, subcontractors, and support functions to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Monitor and control project scope, schedules, budgets, profitability, risks, and resource utilization across all regional projects.
- Establish standardized project execution methodologies, reporting systems, and operational procedures across locations.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, developers, contractors, OEMs, and internal departments to ensure alignment with contractual and technical requirements.
- Review project specifications, technical submissions, drawings, procurement plans, and execution strategies to ensure compliance with client expectations and company standards.
- Oversee procurement coordination, vendor management, subcontractor performance, logistics, and material planning across multiple project sites.
- Conduct regular project reviews, operational audits, and performance evaluations to track progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure effective project cash flow management, billing, collections follow-up, cost optimization, and financial performance of regional operations.
- Lead project meetings, management reviews, and stakeholder discussions, providing regular updates on project progress, commercial status, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Manage escalations, contractual claims, change orders, variations, disputes, and critical project issues at regional level.
- Support teams during installation, integration, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities to ensure smooth project completion.
- Ensure all projects comply with company quality standards, HSE policies, statutory regulations, and client requirements.
- Drive customer satisfaction by maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring high service and delivery standards across the region.
- Mentor and develop regional project teams through performance management, technical guidance, and leadership development initiatives.
- Identify operational improvement opportunities, implement best practices, and contribute to continuous enhancement of project delivery and organizational efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Automation Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 1215 years of experience in project execution and operations management, preferably in BMS, HVAC controls, ELV, automation, or smart building systems.
- Proven experience managing multiple large-scale projects across different cities/regions.
- Strong understanding of project contracts, commercial management, budgeting, cost control, and profitability management.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in handling cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong knowledge of BMS systems, HVAC controls, integration systems, commissioning processes, and building automation technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-location operational environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and operational planning capabilities.
- Willingness to travel extensively across project locations and regional offices.
