Delivery Head Strategic Account
Role Summary


The Delivery Head for a Strategic Account is responsible for end-to-end delivery ownership, client satisfaction, and account growth for a high-value, long-term client relationship. This role ensures successful execution of programs, alignment with client business goals, and continuous improvement in delivery excellence, financial performance, and team capability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Account & Client Leadership
Act as the single point of ownership for delivery across all programs within the strategic account
Build and maintain senior executive relationships with client stakeholders
Serve as a trusted advisor, aligning delivery outcomes with client business objectives
Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership growth2. Delivery Excellence
Own end-to-end delivery including scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk
Ensure delivery governance, metrics, and reporting are consistently applied
Proactively identify and mitigate delivery risks and issues
Drive continuous improvement through best practices, automation, and innovation3. Financial & Commercial Management
Own account-level P&L, revenue, margins, and cost optimization
Ensure adherence to contractual commitments and SLAs
Support deal structuring, renewals, change requests, and expansions
Forecast revenue and capacity accurately4. People & Capability Leadership
Lead and mentor delivery managers, program managers, and technical leaders
Ensure optimal staffing, skill development, and succession planning
Foster a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative culture
Drive employee engagement and retention within the account5. Strategic Growth & Transformation
Identify opportunities for account expansion, cross-sell, and up-sell
Partner with sales, solutioning, and leadership teams on growth initiatives
Lead large-scale transformation programs (digital, cloud, process, or operating model)
Promote innovation and value creation beyond contractual obligationsKey Skills & Competencies
Strong program and portfolio management expertise
Executive-level stakeholder management and communication
Financial acumen with proven P&L ownership
Risk management and decision-making under ambiguity
Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution
Leadership experience managing large, multi-location teamsQualifications & Experience
15+ years of experience in delivery, program, or account management
5+ years managing large strategic or marquee accounts
Experience in IT services / consulting / managed services environmentsSuccess Metrics
Client satisfaction and Net Promoter Score (NPS)
Revenue growth and margin achievement
On-time, on-budget delivery performance
Account expansion and deal renewals
Team stability, engagement, and leadership pipelineRole & responsibilities
