Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:
- Own end-to-end delivery of the GSTN compliance platform, managing production support operations for mission-critical systems while ensuring SLA adherence and high availability.
- Lead and manage large cross-functional engineering teams (50+ members) including developers, QA engineers, and DevOps, providing mentorship and resolving team-level challenges.
- Drive stakeholder engagement through all project phases from requirement analysis and design to deployment articulating business and technical implications to senior leadership and external partners.
- Act as Scrum Master and ensure the development team delivers user stories within estimated time and budget, facilitating sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
- Proactively identify risks, manage changes in scope and client expectations, and devise contingency plans throughout the development lifecycle.
- Champion Generative AI adoption across the team guiding AI implementation decisions, evaluating technical feasibility, and integrating AI tools for development automation, testing, and code generation.
- Monitor project status, manage production incidents using ITIL/ITSM frameworks, and present relevant reports to internal and external stakeholders.
- Drive CI/CD pipeline governance, containerization strategies, and cloud-native best practices across the platform.
Requirements:
- BE/B.Tech/MCA/MBA with 12+ years of software project management experience, preferably in product-based or high-scale platforms.
- Proven track record of managing large engineering teams (50+ members) and delivering complex projects involving distributed systems, data processing, and integrations.
- Hands-on experience managing high-volume data platforms handling billions of records.
- Prior experience in taxation, fintech, or regulatory compliance domains is highly preferred.
- PMP, Scrum Master (CSM/PSM), or SAFe certifications are a strong advantage.
- Strong command of Agile/Scrum methodologies with hands-on experience leading sprints, managing backlogs, and facilitating ceremonies.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, and Confluence.
- Expertise in risk management, dependency tracking, resource planning, and managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong understanding of production support operations and incident management frameworks (ITIL/ITSM).
- Data-driven approach with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to navigate ambiguity and complexity.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Collaborative leadership style focused on empowering teams, removing blockers, and driving continuous improvement.
- Working knowledge of Java, Python, Angular, PySpark, MongoDB, and Redshift technology stacks along with big data processing concepts.
- Familiarity with asynchronous architectures, event-driven systems, microservices, and real-time/batch integration patterns (ETL/ELT).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Technical understanding of Generative AI concepts, LLMs, and AI agent architectures; ability to guide AI implementation decisions and evaluate technical feasibility.
- Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG systems, AI integration patterns, and AI tools for development automation and code generation.
