Job Title: Team Lead Denial Coding / Surgery Coding
Location: Chennai
Experience:5 - 10 Years (with minimum 12 years in Team Handling)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Team Lead Denial Coding / Surgery Coding to manage a team of coders, ensure quality deliverables, and oversee denial and surgical coding operations. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in medical coding, denial management, auditing, and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
Denial Coding Team Lead:
- Lead and manage a team handling denial analysis and resolution
- Monitor team productivity, quality, and SLAs
- Perform root cause analysis of denials and implement corrective actions
- Conduct audits and provide feedback/training to team members
- Collaborate with AR, billing, and client teams to improve recovery rates
Surgery Coding Team Lead:
- Supervise end-to-end surgical coding activities
- Review operative reports and ensure accurate ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding
- Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with coding standards
- Train and mentor team members on complex surgical cases
- Handle client communication and reporting
Required Skills:
- Certification: CPC / CCS / COC (Mandatory)
- Strong experience in Denial Management or Surgery Coding
- Team handling / leadership experience
- In-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS coding guidelines
- Familiarity with US Healthcare RCM processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in multi-specialty coding
- Exposure to QA/audit processes
- Experience in client handling and reporting
- Ability to drive process improvements

- Coding accuracy & quality score
- Team productivity and SLA adherence
- Denial reduction and recovery rate
